This is the shocking moment an excited one-year-old toddler did a flip and fell down the steps while trying to hug his father.

The youngster, named Nong Kawee was seen playing inside the house when he rushed to greet his dad who had just entered the door in Khon Kaen province, Thailand on August 21.

However, when the boy reached the steps, he used his hands to help him climb down but he fell flat on his back while the family watched.

His older brother rushed to take the toddler to check on him and the family burst into a nervous laugh upon finding he was unhurt.

Father Jirapong Khamkhon said: ‘It was an accident but fortunately he had no injuries. We will take this as a lesson to be more careful.’

The toddler was then carried by his older brother back to the living room while their father unloaded the grocery bags.
