A camera onboard a high-performance racing catamaran captured the dramatic moment the vessel nose-dived and then capsized in Australia.

David Green was racing other sailing boats on his Nacra 15 on Pittwater in New South Wales when the craft suddenly started to nose-dive before flipping onto one of the hulls.

"The speed was about 12-18 knots and it was a surreal experience. However, those damn waters had different plans. On the plus side, got to swim a little, haha," Green joked.

The clip was filmed back in February 2018.

'To say that David Green's sailing adventure on Pittwater (New South Wales, Australia) didn't go well would be a colossal understatement.

In this video, the filmer and his partner can be seen on Nacra 15 (a performance catamaran/watercraft), racing with fellow sailors.

And just when it starts to look like David has the entire competition figured out, his watercraft crashes and goes underwater, derailing the entire momentum in the blink of an eye.
