India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted a missile test of Akash Prime Missile on September 27 in eastern India's Odisha. The test was conducted from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.

Visuals feature the missile launched successfully in the air. It shoots immediately and forms an arc from smoke in the sky as it leaves the base.

The missile successfully destroyed a manned aerial target, exactly mimicking enemy aircraft. If compared to the existing Akash system, the new one is equipped with an indigenous active Radio Frequency (RF) and can perform well under low temperatures at higher heights.
