Medieval church surrounded by an industrial estate to be restored in Sittingbourne, Kent, UK
An obscure and tiny medieval church - which is now rather oddly surrounded by an industrial estate as shown is being restored thanks to lottery funding and other grants in this footage showing progress as of October 5.
Murston Old Church was abandoned when the original centre of the village had to move closer to Milton creek in the 1940s.
Murston All Saints Trust has created the "Murston Heart" project which will see the church building restored & artists units installed adjacent to the old building along with a community cafe.
Work has started on digging the foundations for the artist's units, with the project due for completion in April 2022.
