A scooter rider luckily avoided injuries after being crashed into by a minibus in northern China.

Terrifying moment filmed in the city of Baoding in Hebei Province on October 4 shows a scooter rider crossing a road, before being blindsided by a passing minivan.

The scooter was seen flying out several metres away but the rider was left standing in place.

Although the scooter was damaged seriously, the rider was not injured.

The case is under further investigation, reports said.

The video was provided by local media with permission.

近日，河北保定，一名骑电瓶摩托车男子在横穿马路时，一辆正常行驶的面包车躲让不急，与其相撞，事故瞬间人留在原地，车却飞出数米远。幸运的是男子躲过一劫，没有受伤，但是电瓶车受损严重。交警认为，电瓶车属于非机动车，横过机动车道需下车推行，这样会有时间规避事故的发生。另外面包车过路口时，因减速观察路况。目前事故还在进一步处理中。（视频河北台提供）
