This is the moment a dog made it very clear it didn't want to go for a walk in the rain by collapsing on the floor and refusing to go out.

Maisie the cavapoo hates bad weather so as soon as owner Rachel Ng, 25, pulls the pooch's raincoat out the cupboard, the pet knows what is coming.

In the video, Maisie can be seen looking adorable in the little coat, sprawled out on the floor being reluctantly pulled towards the door.

Rachel, who adopted Maisie in June 2020, can be seen pulling on the lead, gently trying to get the dog up and moving - but the pooch refuses to budge.

Rachel, a management consultant from Harpenden, Hertfordshire, said: "To be honest, sometimes I know she's just being lazy and doesn’t want to go out.

"But usually it’s related to putting on a raincoat, because she knows when that comes out the weather is bad.

"Her famous trick to try and get out of a walk in the rain is the starfish and it makes me laugh every time - she really is a unique pup."
