This is the moment a boy’s leg was stuck in the platform gap of a train station in China.

Video taken by a commuter in the Shenzhen Metro station, Guangdong province on October 30 shows the child struggling to free himself after his right leg fell into the narrow opening.

Train security officers arrived to help, but reportedly had trouble rescuing the boy. He was eventually freed uninjured after the video uploader stepped in to assist.

The unnamed rescuer said: ‘The management of the Shenzhen Metro really needs to be improved. The last time I was on a business trip in Shenzhen, a child had his feet caught.

‘The security officers were on the scene, but didn’t know how to start the rescue. In the end, I managed to save the child.’
