Train station staff rescued a man who fell into a platform gap at a railway station in Thailand.

The distracted passenger had walked off the platform, but slipped through the narrow gap just as the train doors were opening at the BTS Nana station in Bangkok on September 9.

Station employees hurriedly shut off the power to keep the man from being electrocuted, then jumped onto the tracks to help him back up.

Footage shows a worker pulling the dazed local to his feet and leading him back onto the platform.

An onlooker said: 'He might have been looking at his phone when he fell down the gap. He's lucky he didn't suffer any broken bones.'
