A woman trapped in her flooded house filmed her surroundings in Phu Yen, Vietnam, as she awaited rescue.

Footage from November 30 shows floodwater almost reaching the tops of doorways as the filmer moved to higher ground.

Fortunately, a rescue team arrived in time and evacuated the woman from her submerged house.

Around 60,000 homes in the region have been affected by the historic flood.

Video captured the moment of a woman trapped in the house while flood water is rising in Phu Yen, Vietnam.

According to the woman, the high flood water suddenly flooded her house. She cannot swim and cannot move.

She had to climb to the highest position of the house to avoid floodwater. However, the floodwaters were rising high and almost touching her position. She is waiting for the rescue force.

If the floodwaters rose any further, she would have to climb onto the roof. Fortunately, the rescue team arrived in time and took her out of the dangerous area.

The historic flood has submerged the south-central region of Vietnam with more than 60,000 homes affected.
