Buy video

Birdwatching.... Watching a really huge bird, the 2.8 meter wingspan bearded vulture, in the swiss Alps, is truely a magic moment. This majestic bird had been erradicated by humans, but was successfully re-introduced to the Alps several decades ago. This was a young one, and he was fighting to fly upwards because there was a heat inversion in the lower atmosphere, the air was cold and heavy, and he had trouble flying up , so after a long time flying he had to rest. He landed on a rock under a steep cliff, and while he was resting suddenly several pieces of rocks came falling down ... those falling rocks almost killed him... Luckily he took off and flew away to safety.
filmed in slow motion.
