The little-known Thai island of Koh Lao Liang in Trang province has just reopened to tourists.

Video shows the visitors walking through the undisturbed island to take pictures of the beautiful rock formations and clear waters on December 20.

Tourists can explore seaside caves or frolic in the water while snorkeling and canoeing around the island. They can also stay overnight in tent accommodation.

Koh Lao Liang is found 40 kilometres west of the province’s coastline. The island features sky-high limestone mountains that can block strong winds during monsoon season, and white sandy beaches with hidden beautiful corals.

Tourists can visit the island by riding a long-tailed boat from Tasae pier or taking a speedboat from Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe, all in southern Thailand in the Andaman Sea.
