Hundreds of dead jellyfish washed ashore on a Thai beach during low tide.

Footage shows rows of the lifeless sea creatures littering the shore of the Than Bok Khorani National Park in Krabi province on April 4.

More dead jellyfish were also beached on the nearby islands of Koh Hong, Koh Lao Lading, and Koh Phakbia.

Officials were cleaning the shores to keep the jellyfish from decomposing in the blistering heat.

Siriwat Suebsai, chief of the Than Bok Khorani National Park, attributed the jellyfish kill to the low tide.

He said: 'While the white jellyfish are not highly venomous, tourists should refrain from touching them since some of them may be allergic.'

He also advised against swimming while there were still dead jellyfish floating in the water, and urged tourists to wait until authorities have cleared the area.

The park chief said more swarms of jellyfish may wash ashore on Koh Hong island due to the water currents.
