Meet the "extremely brave" women who have converted a student's hostel into a makeshift relief centre for refugees fleeing war-torn Ukraine.

Indian filmer Saurabh Mishra visited the centre in Uzhhorod, western Ukraine, a city near the Slovakian border.

He met Olga Pokoyna, a student from Donestk Oblast, and Judith Katerina, a volunteer from the Czech Republic, and asked them for their thoughts on the women running the centre.

Pokoyna said that the women are "so strong" and are "doing amazing things that help everyone."

The student hopes to return home to Donestk when the conflict is over.

Katerina, a volunteer who has travelled from the Czech Republic, said: "I think they [the female volunteers] are extremely brave, amazing and courageous and I have nothing but admiration for them."

Mishra then visited Dolphin Restaurant, a local eatery in the city, where volunteers are preparing free meals for citizens in need.

This footage was filmed on March 7, a day before International Women's Day.
