Gas ship arrives from Trinidad to supply UK with gas off Kent
A gas ship arrived from Port Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago to supply the UK with gas this morning (March 19).
LNG tanker ship 'BRITISH ACHIEVER' was seen passing the Port of Sheerness in Kent to berth at the National Grid's Isle of Grain LNG facility.
The ship is supplying gas to the UK in the form of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
This is the second gas ship to arrive at Grain LNG - since two Russian gas ships had to be turned away a few weeks ago - due a UK Government ban on Russian ships berthing at UK ports, because of Russia's Ukraine invasion.
