More than 100 short-haul flights to and from Heathrow Airport were cancelled or diverted on Saturday (April 2), UK media has reported.

Eyewitness footage filmed at Heathrow's Terminal 5 shows passengers trying to find out information.

Many flights are delayed more than 2 hours, some cancelled at departures at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 On Saturday. T5 is mainly used by British Airways.

"Hundreds of passengers are trying to find out information on their delayed flights at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5," Newsflare's filmer said. "British Airways customer services kiosks have been deserted," he claimed. "More than 20 flights have been delayed, one flight to New York is cancelled."

Well-known travel journalist Simon Calder tweeted earlier today: "British Airways has cancelled 100+ flights to/from Heathrow so far today. Passengers who have contacted me say BA is rebooking them for a day or two's time. But if any flight on any airline is available today, the airline must book you on it."
