A restaurant is western India's Gujarat is using miniature trains to serve its customers.

Trainian Express in Surat city of the state has been enthralling its customers with the novelty for the last three years.

Visuals, shot on April 16, showed the miniature trains carrying the dishes to the customers, who waited for their orders at the table.

Speaking to Newslions, Hemant Choudhary, the owner of the facility said, "We used automation. We hired a company who installed the system and the trains are operated by our trained staff."

Choudhary added, "We are currently working on our second outlet."

He said that the drive to create something new for customers helped him come up with the idea.

"This wasn't done before. I wanted to try something new and came up with trains as servers."

Apart from the cute-looking trains, the tables are named after famous areas and spots in the city.

The restaurant serves only vegetarian dishes.
