A male passenger trying to board a moving train learnt a stern lesson, as he fell during his attempt in western India's Maharashtra.

Fortunately for him, he was saved by an alert cop.

The incident took place at the Borivali railway station in Mumbai city on April 24.

Visuals showed the man, carrying heavy luggage, attempting to board the moving train. However, unable to control the speed, he falls down. An alert cop immediately pulls him to safety. The man could have fallen in the gap and gone under the wheels.

RPF Constable Ajay Gurjar made the rescue at platform number eight.

The passenger, Jitendra, was late and wanted to board the 19037 Avadh Express.

Fortunately, he did not suffer any injury.
