Tatyana Chubar wears many hats all at once: one as a viral Tiktok sensation, one as a mother of two, one as a self-described princess, and lately a gunnery helmet as she's commanding a platoon for her country of Ukraine facing a Russian invasion.

Born in Konotop, the mother of two children now fights in the eastern Sumy region, one of the main targeted areas of Ukraine from the forces under the guidance of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Tatyana gained fame after a video taken of her operating on the battlefield was uploaded to the internet on April 16. It’s gained 1 million views in just five days.

She commands a Ukrainian artillery platoon, with a 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer at its disposal. But the self-described princess and platoon commander will never go without makeup and a manicure.

"The question [my children ask me] is why are you fighting? There is no other way," said Tatyana, whose children are being taken care of by her parents while she's in combat.

Tayana's first job was when she worked in a candy store, but traded in treats for a tank and has racked up over 10 confirmed destroyed targets.

"When I was 10 or 11, my dad really wanted me to join the army. My wish was to become a doctor... my life changed. I realized we wouldn’t be able to pay for my education. That’s why I studied for a career in the confectionery industry. But when I turned 18, I joined the army – not as a doctor, but just as a regular woman," Tatyana told a Ukrainian publication.

The 23-year-old has also since racked up big views on older TikToks with her on-point lipsynching.
