Dramatic footage of a huge blaze at a warehouse in Perivale, a suburb of London, UK on Saturday as it was tackled by more than 100 firefighters.

Around 30 people left the building before the Brigade arrived and there were no reports of any injuries. The blaze gutted the large 75 metre by 75 metre building and at the height of the fire smoke could be seen across the whole of London, the Fire Brigade said.

In a statement a London Fire Brigade manager Jeff Lisle, who was at the scene, said: "Crews worked very hard in difficult conditions. Firefighters used aerial ladder platforms to tackle the fire from numerous vantage points to prevent the blaze spreading to neighbouring warehouses.

“This isn't a residential area but the smoke was travelling quite a distance so we advised locals to keep windows and doors shut."

Firefighters were called shortly before 7pm and had the fire under control by just before midnight.
