Groom watches his own wedding ceremony outside hotel while waiting for COVID-19 test result
A groom watched his own wedding ceremony from outside a hotel while waiting for his COVID-19 test result in China.
Video filmed in the city of Urumqi in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on April 26 shows a groom squatting outside a hotel watching his bride at a wedding ceremony on his phone.
The groom's friends were heard saying: "The ceremony started but the groom is outside the hotel. Because he has not got the COVID-19 test result yet."
The groom's friend named Pu said the hotel asked for the COVID-19 test result within 48 hours at a short notice. Although the groom did the test immediately after receiving the notice, it took a long time for him to get the result.
So the bride had the ceremony with her parents first and then had the wedding ceremony with the groom when he got a negative result.
The groom name Deng said the COVID-19 rules suddenly changed so they had to provide the negative COVID-19 result they got within 48 hours instead of four days.
Since the guests all arrived they decided to let the bride, who got her COVID-19 test result a day before, have the ceremony with her parents first and postponed the wedding ceremony for more than 2 hours until the groom got his negative result.
