Sensational footage captured as 'super aurora' passes over man in Alaska
A videographer in Fairbanks, Alaska, managed to capture sensational footage of what he called a "super aurora" passing overhead.
Filmed on April 21, the video shows the spectacular northern lights display illuminating the night sky.
The filmer told us: "This was an AWESOME late-season aurora for us!
"The midnight sun has now made the sky blue all night but that didn't stop the auroras from putting on a beautiful show over the Tanana River in central Alaska!
"I recorded this one just south of Fairbanks in real-time, which requires a special kind of camera capable of low-light cinematography.
"It was a beautiful show to end a very fun northern lights season here in Fairbanks!"
