This peacock is obsessed with the local ice cream van - and chases after it whenever it goes by. Deborah Burfield, 47, from Southport, West Lancs., said Patrick the wild peacock started taking an interest in the van a few weeks ago. In a video the ice cream van motors down the road while the peacock can be seen in the distance at the corner of the street. Soon after it spots the van on its way to deliver sweet treats, the peacock starts to run as fast as it can after the van. In the second video, the familiar tune of the ice cream van plays in the distance, getting the attention of the vibrant bird. Seconds later, the van drives past with the peacock hot on its heels. Deborah said: “We noticed him doing it a few weeks ago but only filmed him over the last couple of days. “His name is Patrick and he’s a wild-born peacock who is three years old – we don’t have a clue why he chases after the van. “There are ten peacocks altogether, seven females and three males but the other two males are only a year old. "We've had them around for a while now - they're out and about, they're just part of the neighbourhood now."
