An animal welfare organisation in northwest India has been treating hundreds of dehydrated animals suffering in the ongoing extreme heatwaves.

The abandoned stray animals are being rescued and rehabilitated by the Ahmedabad-based non-profit animal welfare organisation Jivadaya Charitable Trust, filmed here on May 19th.

Jivadaya Charitable Trust provides medical care to un-owned domestic and stray animals, and also runs a rehabilitation centre for birds, reptiles, and small mammals.

Due to the extreme heatwave conditions this year in India, like humans, animals are suffering a lot due to soaring temperatures and many cases of dehydration and panting are reported. Veterinarians and volunteers are picking up dozens of exhausted and dehydrated birds dropping from the skies every day due to scorching heatwave. Hundreds of birds are rescued in the last few weeks and rehabilitated at Jivadaya Charitable Trust in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad-based non-profit animal welfare organization Jivadaya Charitable Trust runs a rehabilitation center for birds, reptiles, and small mammals are rescuing these birds and providing water fluids, oral medication, and antibiotics to these birds to maintain the electrolyte levels of these animals.
