A Pickpocket Armed with a Knife A pickpocket armed with a knife was arrested by members of the Polda Metro Jaya at the Komdak Bus Stop, South Jakarta, Tuesday (7/6/2022) at 11.53 WIB.

According to residents at the location, the pickpocket with the hat was caught by residents when he got off a public vehicle in front of the Polda Metro Jaya office.

"He was arrested in front of the police, he was chased to the busway stop. There were also several policemen who chased them across the pedestrian bridge and into the busway stop," said Febriansyah.

Panicked and afraid of being hit by the masses, the pickpocket finally took out a sharp weapon in the form of a keris/knife.

"When approached by the police, he (the pickpocket) took out a knife," he said.

Members of the Polda Metro Jaya tried to approach and convince the pickpocket to hand over the knife he was holding. Without warranty.

"After arguing, the pickpocket finally handed over the knife and was escorted by officers to the Polda Metro Jaya headquarters," closed Febriansyah.
