A LONDON bus has burst into flames amid the UK’s blistering heatwave.

The red double-decker was driving through the capital and pulled into a stop when its back end caught fire.

A spokeswoman from London Fire Brigade said a team had rushed to the site of the fire in Brixton, south west London.

The fire service received around 20 calls of the incident, with the first rolling in at around 9.50 Friday morning.

The fire was put out by 10.22am.

The video shows bright orange flames engulfing the back of the bus.

The person who caught the scary incident on cam captioned their video with, ‘Oh my God’.

It is currently unknown how many people were on the bus when it caught fire.

There were no reports of injuries as the driver and passengers escaped from the bus before the brigade arrived.

The bus is damaged in parts from the roadside blaze.
