Firefighters rescue boy who got head stuck between escalator and wall in China
Firefighters saved a boy who got his head stuck in between an escalator and a wall in central China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Xinyang in Henan Province on June 24 shows a boy standing on an escalator stretching his head out to try to grab a decoration.
As the escalator moved up, the boy's head reached a narrow gap between the escalator and a wall and got trapped there.
The boy's elderly sister spotted the incident and lifted the boy's body up immediately. Other people pressed the button to stop the escalator.
After firefighters arrived, they tore down the wall to free the boy's head.
The boy was then sent to hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, he was not injured seriously.
