Heroic firefighters rescued a 3-year-old boy who got trapped in between two walls in southern China.

The video, filmed in Jishui County in Jiangxi Province on October 10, shows a boy getting trapped in a less than 30-centimetre-wide gap in between two houses, while firemen used an electric drill to open a hole in the wall.

According to reports, the boy's grandmother was playing mahjong and the boy was attracted by a small toy in between the walls. He went into the narrow gap to try to get the toy and became trapped.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured. The video was provided by local media with permission.

10月10日下午17点09分左右，到了晚饭准备时间，江西吉水县阜田镇彭家村一位大妈愉快地结束了和“麻友”们的活动，准备带着孙子回家，却不见孩子的踪影。
听到小孩不见了，热心的村民赶紧帮忙寻找，终于在不远处间距不足30厘米的两间民房的隔缝中，找到了3岁孙子的身影。被卡住小男孩不能动弹，待在隔缝里一声不吭，把家长给急坏。邻居赶紧拨打“119”报警电话求助。
考虑到从吉水县消防救援大队到事发地接近1小时的车程，消防员担心孩子被卡时间过久容易缺氧，于是通过电话，远程指导两名会使用电钻工具的村民，对卡住孩子的一堵墙进行凿洞。

当消防员到达现场时，孩子腿部位置的墙壁已经被凿空，孩子的腿能活动后，还可以看见孩子的头。
由于缝隙比较窄，墙壁紧贴小孩的身体，稍不注意，很容易伤到小孩，救援人员每打一下电钻都要仔细观察。18时10分左右，在消防员和村民的齐心合力下，小男孩被救出。
据村民介绍，小男孩趁着奶奶专注打麻将的空隙，溜到旁边玩耍，因好奇隔缝里的一件小玩意儿，于是钻进去想要取出，却被狭窄的墙壁卡住，所幸未造成伤亡。
