Kind hotel staff rescued a dolphin washed ashore in southern Thailand.

Supapon Tongbud and her colleagues spotted the baby dolphin when strong waves and a thunder storm battered Khao Lak beach in Phang Nga province on June 10 evening.

As the group moved closer to the dolphin, they found that the dolphin had a bleeding wound on its mouth. Supapon then guided the group back to the hotel and delivered the animal to Phuket Coastal Aquatic Animals Development Center for treatment.

She said: 'The dolphin looked like it was about two or three months old. I think the recent thunderstorm must have pushed the dolphin up to the beach. We'll free the dolphin back to the sea after it recovers.'

Supapon and her friends believe the dolphin was affected by a tropical monsoon storm with the currents causing the dolphin to become disorientated.
