Crowds gather to watch turtle hatchlings be released into sea off Florida

Dozens gathered at Delray Beach, Florida, to watch a group of loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings being released into the sea on July 15.

The Sandoway Discovery Center released six hatchlings into the wild and footage shows the reptiles scrambling across the sand towards the sea.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida's most common turtle, loggerheads nest between April and September. Each female can lay up to 150 eggs.
