Alert cops rescue man trying to cross railway track in southern India

Vigilant cops saved the life of a man who was trying to cross the railway track in southern India's Karnataka.

The incident took place at K.R. Puram Railway Station on July 15.

Visuals showed the passenger getting down from the platform to cross the railway track. On realizing that a train was fast approaching, he tried to climb back onto the platform but wasn’t able to. A few alert cops present at the platform rushed toward the man and pulled him up back on the platform.

Speaking to Newslions, Anish Hegde, Chief Public relations Officer of South Western Railway said that Assistant sub-inspector Ravi G.D., Constable Pradeep Kumar and Manju Rar were making rounds on platform number 3 when they noticed the man and showed their vigilance to save his life.

The alertness and action of RPF staff was highly appreciated by all the passengers gathered at the platform.
