This is the moment a truck failed to brake before causing multiple collisions on a road in southern Thailand.

The speeding truck rammed into a car that was inching along the Chon Kasem road in Surat Thani province on July 25.

Officers said seven vehicles - one motorcycle, two trucks, two pickup trucks, and two cars - were damaged in the accident.

They added that the sedan was moving carefully to avoid a shipment of gypsum that had fallen onto the road. The debris reportedly slowed down traffic on the curved highway when the truck barreled forward and triggered the pile-up.

Surat Thani Provincial Transport officers said they will check GPS records and CCTV footage to find out which vehicle had dropped the gypsum on the road. The drivers involved will also be questioned afterwards.
