This is the bizarre moment a drunk driver pushed a motorcycle he collided with 300 metres along a road in Thailand.

The white pickup truck was filmed sputtering along the Bang Na - Trat Road in Samut Prakan province on August 7, with a Honda Wave motorcycle caught in its bumper.

The pickup's bonnet had been crumpled from the crash, but the vehicle carried on driving despite the damage, belching out puffs of black smoke from its exhaust.

The loud screeches it made drew the attention of confused onlookers and traffic police, who arrested the driver, Kittikhun, after he had pushed the motorbike several hundred metres along the asphalt.

Kittikhun, 53, was allegedly inebriated while driving his Mazda pickup truck, and had hit the motorcycle while fleeing from a driver whose pickup he had earlier rear-ended.

Motorbike owner Somrit said he was making a delivery when he heard the hit-and-run suspect's vehicle speeding towards him. He jumped out of the way, but his bike was dragged along by the runaway pickup.

Bang Bo police said they have found 283 mg of alcohol in Kittikhun's blood - well over the legal limit of 50. They added he could not be interrogated as he was severely intoxicated during the arrest.

Kittikhun is currently facing multiple charges, and has been taken away by police who have already contacted his relatives.
