Russian man taken to hospital after falling into puddle of bitumen
A man fell into a puddle of bitumen in Begulma, a town in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
It was approximately 10 pm when, while walking home after work, he fell into the black pond. The man tried to get out of the puddle several times without success.
Luckily, at 3.30 am a passerby noticed him and alerted the emergency services.
The man was pulled out with a rope and a hook and taken to the hospital. He received treatment but refused to be hospitalised.
According to local residents, the source of the bitumen puddle is a nearby factory where the man works.
