This video shows a couple setting a new world record for the largest bubble net - that successfully produced nearly 500 individual ones. Bubbleologist Chloe Ferguson, 25, and her husband Stuart Ferguson, 45, now hold the title after receiving verification of their successful record attempt in May 2022. The couple took to a seaside hill in Guernsey with their bubble net that measured at a whopping 28.635sq.m. - double the size of the previous world record of 14.75sq.m. It took around 24 hours for Chloe to make the net by weaving it out of mercerised cotton to make sure it would absorb the bubble liquid. The massive net contained 476 holes which all had to produce bubbles in order for it to qualify for the world record. Despite the weather being against them with high humidity levels, the pair made several attempts before sending off a video of their work to the Guinness World Records adjudicators, filmed by friend and professional videographer Karl Dorfner. It took a whole 14 weeks for the results to come back and Chloe and Stuart were over the moon to discover they now hold the world record. Chloe, who lives in Guernsey with IT director Stuart, said: "The process was really long but enjoyable. "Making the net was actually the easy part. "After the net was made, we had to have it professionally surveyed by Marquis Surveys - the only surveyor qualified to do it in the Channel Islands - then we had to do the attempt. "There are many variables that effect the overall outcome such as humidity and weather conditions. "The day was really enjoyable and at some points frustrating. "We waited for 14 weeks to get the final results - I think that's the most patient I have ever been in my life! "The feeling, in one word, to hold the record, is surreal. "It's an honour to hold such an impressive accolade and have proof that I am actually good at what I do." Whilst continuing with her business of providing bubble based entertainment at parties, Chloe now has her eye on another world record - this time for the longest garland chain of bubbles.
