Kent fundraiser Tim Bell, 77 of Minster on Sea on the Isle of Sheppey has been short-listed for the prestigious national Pride of Britain Awards.

ITV filmed the retired-electrician outside Tesco, Sheerness this afternoon (September 1).

Mr. Bell has raised thousands for the Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance charity by converting a mobility scooter into a helicopter resembling the air ambulance.

More recently he's converted a second mobility scooter to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee by decorating it to look like Sheerness town centre clock-tower which was renovated to mark the event.

Footage shows an ITV film crew with both vehicles outside Tesco in Sheerness, a location at which Mr. Bell frequently fundraises. This is followed by brief footage of both mobility scooter 'in action' entertaining crowds at the Sheerness summer carnival held in August.
