This creative craftsman recycles discarded alcohol bottles thrown out by night clubs - by turning them into trendy drinking glasses.

Rungroj Wongprasert, 43, taught himself how to transform the fragile booze containers into beautiful glasses with beer labels on them.

He scoured the internet for more information, and even sought expert advice on social media and online forums before finally purchasing a circular cutting machine of his own.

Making rounds in bars and night clubs near his home in Bangkok, he managed to gather dozens of used beer bottles left in bins and on the street. He would then deep clean and saw them to transform them into products he can sell.

Footage shows Rungroj making incisions around the bottles' necks using his machine. He proceeds to create a clean cut by first dipping the glass in hot water then shocking it in an ice bath.

To avoid injuries, the craftsman evens out the rim's jagged edges using a grinder tool. He leaves the brand labels on for decoration.

Rungroj said: 'I see beautiful bottles everywhere so I thought it would be very nice if I could make some use out of them.

'At the moment I only sell them on TikTok. For glasses made out of Thai beer bottles, I charge 35 THB each and for foreign brands, the price starts at 50 THB.

'I love this hobby. It earns me extra money and helps to keep the streets clean by recycling rubbish. It is very satisfying.'
