After launching a counter-offensive to return the Kharkiv Oblast to Ukrainian hands, the city of Balakliya, Ukraine is seen here on September 10 showing what was left behind by occupying Russian forces.

Ukrainian forces launched their assault to liberate Balakliya early in the morning of September 6.

Four dead Russian soldiers, along with two tanks are seen by the nearby river in this footage. A samovar is seen next to one of the dead bodies.

Hanna Maliar, Ukraine's deputy defence minister, said the counter-offensive had already reclaimed significant territory, amounting to twice the size of greater London.

"It is absolutely a turning point in this war. It shows the Ukrainian military's motivation, despite Russia still having a greater number of weapons," Maliar told media.
