Ukraine's forces capture a soldier who claims to be Ukrainian despite wearing a Russian military uniform in Kupyansk, a city in the Kharkiv Oblast, on September 15. Ukrainian forces blindfolded him to stop him from seeing the surroundings.

The man says he was forced to dress as a Russian soldier and fight against his country when Russia took over territories in the Luhansk region. He claims to have been part of military operations in the Kharkiv region, where he built trenches, against Ukrainians.

The man also said that his commander dropped and abandoned him when the Ukrainian counter-offensive led to the liberation of territories under Russian control.

He claims he is from Ukraine's Luhansk region. The filmer could not verify the story as the soldier didn't have any documents with him.

"He is a middle aged man from what he looked like but again, without documents it's difficult to know", she says.

The filmer has reported that the man is now a prisoner of war. If authorities find his claims true, the soldier will be released.
