Cars were submerged as heavy rain caused flash floods in Bangkok on Monday afternoon - with officials warning that the situation will become worse.

Footage shows a car park outside homes in the Muang Thong Thani district of the capital city following the torrential downpour.

Residents are now bracing for continued floods caused by the runoff from Typhoon Noru with river levels rising and some bursting their banks.

The National Water Command Centre also warned that a monsoon trough would bring rain until Sunday.
