A column of water sprayed 7 metres high into the air from a well in central China.

The video was filmed in the city of Weihui in Henan Province on September 30.

Water sprayed out of a more than 30-metre-deep well continuously and a column of water was propelled 7-metres-high into the sky.

According to reports, the water became turbid several days ago before it sprayed out of the well.

The rare phenomenon may have been caused by pressure released from the water well at around 15-metres-deep inside the well.

9月30日，河南卫辉市安都乡庄和村村南头，一村民家门口的水井持续地往外涌水。10月1日早上，村民视频监控显示，水井喷水高度达6-7米，井水喷出时带有泥浆并夹杂着石头，十分罕见。
这口水井有30多米深，是村民的吃水井，喷涌的前几天井水出现混浊。然而，发生水井喷涌村民家的隔壁邻居称，自己家也有同样的吃水井，也是30多米深，水井打好有10年左右，水面距离井口有大约20米，并没有出现异常。
10月3日，安都乡庄和村村民李先生介绍，自己去现场看过这口井喷涌的现象，之前喷涌是一阵一阵的，“今天已经停止喷涌了。”
安都乡政府一位负责人介绍，这口井是一村民家里的自备井，偶尔会使用，省市地震、自然资源、应急等相关部门都到现场进行了调查，初步怀疑是井下15米处气压（释放）所致，目前喷涌现象已平息，“可能是随着地下水位的变化，土壤中的气体释放出来了后导致的，最终的调查数据和结论，需以专业部门的发布为准。”
喷涌现象发生后，有村民怀疑，是否地质灾害的前兆和化工污水排放所致，该负责人表示，安都乡是一个农业乡镇，没有化工企业，也不是地质灾害。
