Earthquake shakes grocery store shelves in northern Thailand

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted residents when it struck northern Thailand early Thursday morning.

Video shows the grocery store shelves shaking for a brief moment when the tremors were felt Chiang Mai province on October 20.

Tha Earthquake Observation Division of Thailand's Meteorological Department said the earthquake hit the Doi Saket district of the province at 4:36 am local time. It was recorded at a depth of two kilometres.

No casualties, injuries, or incidents of property damage have been reported so far.

Authorities have deployed personnel to assist villagers in affected areas, local media said.
