This is the heart-stopping moment a cheerleader fell to the pavement after her bases failed to catch her during a stunt.

The group - former university cheerleaders - were performing the stunt in San Juan City, Metro Manila in the Philippines on October 20.

They successfully pulled off several impressive stunts, including handstands and flips, but later choked while doing a scorpion dismount.

Footage shows the flyer falling to the ground while still holding the acrobatic position. She did not appear to be injured.

Group member Sean Estrella said: 'We were rivals back during our college days. Two of them are from National University, and I am from Adamson University. Our flyer wasn't hurt. We were just having fun.'
