A brave father saved and released a baby python stuck under his family's fridge.

Chatchawanon Petcharat's dad heard a strange rustling noise in their kitchen in Nangkok, Thailand on October 27 so he went to check on it.

The middle-aged man saw a tail behind the refrigerator and thought it was a mouse at first until he spotted the 1ft-long snake tangled among the wires.

Footage shows the father carefully removing the juvenile reptile from the appliance using bare hands.

Proud son Chatchawanon said: 'The little snake entered our house and dad was the only one who could come near.

‘We were chasing it out but my father saw it was trapped.'

It took about ten minutes to free the creature that had slithered through tight gaps.

The family then called local wildlife officers to handle the baby snake. It was unhurt and later released.
