Exhausted wild python tangled inside net rescued
This is the moment an exhausted wild python tangled inside a net was rescued.
The serpent attempted to enter the chicken coop but was trapped inside the object in Chonburi province, Thailand, on January 12.
It was later found by the house owner, retired Navy Commander Somchai Thaworn, 76, who called for the rescue team.
Footage shows the volunteers cutting the net using a knife to free the snake that was tightly caught in the netting.
Somchai said: ‘I set this trap to protect my chickens. When I went here this morning, I saw the python.
‘I put the net around because I had a dog that went missing not long before. I think it was a snake that took it.'
The team successfully rescued the python after almost 20 minutes. It was unhurt so they drove and released it back to the wild.
