Search and rescue operations are underway as an earthquake in Nepal killed at least six on November 9.

Footage shows officials searching through the debris of destroyed houses in Dipayal Silgadhi, Doti.

The tremors were felt in Indian cities such as Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad.

Nepal's seismological centre set the quake at a magnitude of 6.6 and the United States Geographical Survey set it at 5.6

Six persons died in Nepal’s Doti district on Wednesday after a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck the region. All six persons died after the debris from damaged houses fell on them. Eight residential structures and a police post collapsed because of the earthquake.

Strong tremors were also felt in Indian CIties in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and neighboring areas around 2 am on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Nepal army personnel have been sent to the affected areas for a search and rescue operation.

The epicenter was at the Khaptad National Park in the Doti district. Five persons were taken to the district hospital after they suffered serious injuries.
