Cars drove through flooded roads following heavy rains in eastern Thailand.

Drivers battled through the deluge after monsoon downpours pummeled Pattaya City in Chonburi province, leaving roads submerged in water on November 14.

Officials had to dispatch tow trucks to retrieve cars stuck in floodwater that reached up to a metre in depth.

The route connecting Soi Khao Talo and Soi Khao Noi along a railroad wasclosed to small cars and motorcycles due to the severe flooding.

Residents complained that city authorities are not doing enough to address the seasonal flooding, saying they can only endure the damage to their property every time they are battered by torrential rains.

Local media reported that heavy rainfall is expected to fall throughout Chonburi province until November 20.
