This is the moment Thai firemen helped to remove a gold ring stuck on a Belgian tourist's finger.

Rescue officers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation were approached by holidaymaker Max Dienst as he could not remove the accessory from wearing it for three days in Pattaya, Thailand.

The volunteers then used a cutter to help Max take the metal off his hands on November 18.

Footage shows a rescuer searching a toolbox for the cutter. He placed a metal sheet between the tourist's skin and the ring before pressing to cut it off.

The rescuer worker in the video said: ‘The tourist visited our outpost and showed us his swollen finger.

‘He said he bought the ring three days ago but could not remove it. We helped him cut it off his fingers.'

Speaking with officers, the relieved foreigner said he watched DIY tutorials but nothing worked.

He said: ‘I watched YouTube showing ways so I could remove it myself but no matter what I tried it was useless. I decided to come to them for help. I am thankful for the rescuers.'
