Creative cinema-goers used toilets and other strange containers to take advantage of a 'bottomless popcorn' promotion at a theatre in Thailand.

Customers queued at the SF World Cinema in Bangkok, lugging the largest objects they could find to use to fill with popcorn on Wednesday afternoon November 28.

Some of them carried simple cardboard boxes and plastic containers to the theatre, while others thinking outside the box brought more unusual vessels like large a steel vat, a buffet tray, and even a whole toilet.

The one-day promo, which cost 199 THB (around 5.6 USD), included unlimited soda refills and a 'bottomless' serving of popcorn - as long as the snack fit in the customer's container.

Spokesman Pimsiri Thongrompo said: 'We have prepared a lot of popcorn, around 1 million ounces, which is equivalent to 50 sacks.'

The campaign is similar to a promotion by the Lotte Cinema Go Vap in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City in October where customers availed of unlimited popcorn following the same rules.
