A funny pet parrot refused to leave his owner who was holding a bowl of food in Myanmar.

The bird named Pho Katone was being let out by his owner so he could practice flying in Bago city.

However, the smart Pho Katone would return to perch on the man's arms while eyeing his lunch.

Footage shows the bird flying for a few feet before gliding back to the man who had his food bowl.

The pet owner said: "If I hold the cup, he won't go out no matter how much I let him go. He really knows how to survive."
