This is the moment a hotheaded ostrich chased a loud security guard passing by its enclosure.

The 5ft-tall flightless bird was roaming around its owner's yard when it heard the employee approaching in Western Visayas, the Philippines on November 1.

Footage shows the short-tempered creature tailing behind the staff as he rushed towards the gate.

Guard Dhenz Turno said the ostrich had a bit of an attitude and hated noisy people.

He said: 'If you are near the bird, make sure you are either silent or run fast. It doesn't like to hear human sounds. Except from his owners.'

Dhenz, however, was unhurt by the bird as ‘it is only bark and no bite.'

He said: ‘The bird is all bark and no bite. I hid in the gates but it didn't hurt me.'
